155th Music for Humanity Free Performance Night
September 16, 2023 @ 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm

Each month on the 3rd Saturday (for over 12 years) we’ve invited 2-3 outstanding local/regional artists to share their music (both covers & originals). If you like to listen to great music in a small intimate setting (40-60 people) you’ll love this event. It is a free event. We ask for donations, but if you are financially stressed please join us and let the music work its magic… it will. Noble Coffee will serve a light dinner menu plus a great selection of coffees, teas & desserts. We start promptly at 7:30 but recommend you arrive closer to 6:30 for a seat with table.
The night will feature two outstanding performers: Violet Willows and Mark McGrath.
https://violetwillows.com/Â is a Connecticut based duo featuring singer/songwriter Brianne Chasanoff (piano, vocals), and Mary Gardner (multi-instrumentalist, vocals). Brianne and Mary’s musical talents blend seamlessly, speaking to the listener intimately through their depth of emotional expression. They’ll take you on a journey performing their unique arrangements of familiar covers both past and present, along with original compositions which have been featured on 100.7FM WHUD’s Artist Spotlight Series as well as many local radio stations across the country. They have performed at various notable venues including Falcon Ridge Folk Festival Emerging Artist Showcase, Voices Cafe, Infinity Hall and have shared the stage with various national touring artists including Mary Fahl and Susan Warner. Although their sound is unique, they have been compared to Sarah McLachlan, Joni Mitchell, and Indigo Girls.
Mark McGrath, https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100087272291846 is a gifted vocalist with over 35 years extensive experience in Television, Broadway, Off-Broadway, National Tours, Regional Theaters and Symphony Concert credentials. He has performed with some of the most well-respected Symphony Orchestras around the country. His extensive vocal capabilities allow him to sing in almost any style: Pop, Rock, Country, Blues, Jazz, Big Band, Broadway, even Opera. This will be a great show. “Sound Wizardry” by Jim Elwell.
