Pedro Sanjur is a percussionist , producer and composer. He was born in Santiago of Panama in 1994. His beginnings in music were playing classical percussion, he had the opportunity to play with different orchestra directors such as; Reed Thomas and German Castro. Years later, he moved to Panama City to study in the Danilo Perez Foundation and Escuela de Artes Diversificadas where he finished high school. During he was in Panama he had the opportunity to study with many percussion like; Willian Thompson, Oscar cruz, Rogelio Gilkes,Pedro Peña, and many others.
Additionally, he had the opportunity to join different Salsa Bands and accompany artists like Jose Luis Quintana, Hector rey, Wichy Camacho, Omar Negron, Luisito Quintero, Arturo O'farril, Danilo Perez,Marco Pignataro, Ernesto Diaz, Albita Rodriguez, and others.
In 2014 he participated in the Berklee College of Music five week Program, where he was awarded a full tuition scholarship. On 2019 he graduated from Berklee College of music in the bachelor of jazz composition and performance.
Pedro is currently pursuing his master at Frost School of Music in the program of Media Writing and Production under the direction of the great composer Carlos Rivera.
