SUMMARY:Music Connects Us - Featuring Loretta Hagen
DESCRIPTION:This is the first of a 3 part series “Music Connects Us” featuring the incomparable Loretta Hagen an outstanding singer/songwriter. Thanks to the Goshen Public Library and Historical Society for hosting this series. “Sound Wizardry” by Jim Elwell.\n\nThe series continues on Sunday\, April 14th featuring Elly Wininger & Dave Kearney and once again on Sunday\, May 19th featuring John Sheehan. There will be separate FB events created for each concert.\n\nSpecial thanks to our sponsor\, the premier law firm in the Hudson Valley: https://www.facebook.com/BSFBlaw They believe that quote by Nietzsche: “Without music\, life would be a mistake”. Save the dates and join us. They are all free events. We’ll ask for tax-deductible donations\, but if you’re financially stressed please join us for free and let the music work its magic… it will.\n\n\n\nTraffic Alert: The St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Goshen begins at 2PM on March 10th and there will be street closings beginning at 1PM. The best way to avoid them is to arrive at the library when it opens at 1PM\, enjoy the library and get a great seat for the concert. Here are the details about the parade route and a map. \n\n\nThe parade will begin from Scotchtown Ave. and turn left onto Montgomery St.\, then left onto N. Church St.\, another left onto Main St.\, a left onto Erie St.\, and then a right back to the Orange County Government Center. The total route is about a mile.\n\nAccording to Goshen Village Police\, there will be no parking on the parade route from 12 p.m. until the parade’s conclusion; the route will be closed to all but parade participants from 1 p.m. until the parade ends.\n\nHere’s the Goshen street map: https://www.city2map.com/en/us/ny/goshen

SUMMARY:161st Music for Humanity Free Performance Night
DESCRIPTION:On the 3rd Saturday of each month (we’re into our 14th year) we invite 2-3 outstanding local/regional artists to share their music (both originals & covers). Our featured performers this month are Claude Stein and JustUs. In a rare appearance\, renowned voice coach Claude Stein will be performing an evening of his original songs. JustUs will cover songs from the 60’s\, 70’s & 80’s and they do it very\, very well.\n\n\n\nWe start promptly at 7:30\, but recommend you arrive closer to 6:30 for a seat with table. Noble Coffee will serve a light dinner menu plus a great selection of desserts\, coffees & teas. This is a free event. We ask for donations to “pay it forward” to the next generation of musicians\, but if you are financially stressed please join us for free; let the music work its magic… it will. “Sound Wizardry” by Jim Elwell.\n\nThis is a “listening room” series. If you enjoy listening to outstanding music in a small intimate room (40-60 people) you’ll love this event.
