SUMMARY:6th Music for Humanity Benefit Acoustic Showcase
DESCRIPTION:This is our 6th MFH Benefit Acoustic Showcase at the Creative Compound in Honesdale PA. Each month\, on the first Friday\, we will invite 2-3 outstanding local/regional performers to share their music\, both originals & covers. Our performers for November 4th are David Darshan (facebook.com/dadiddarshanfb)\, Lucas Rotman (lucasmaehararotman.com) and Poison Love (poinsonloveband.com) \nWe spread more music throughout the world via mostly free live performances and by supporting young aspiring musicians\, who are music majors at an accredited college or university in the United States\, with scholarships. \nIt will be a great night of music. This is a free event. We ask for donations\, but if you are feeling financially stressed please join us for free & let the Music work its magic… it will. Special thanks to Louis West for hosting this concert series.

DESCRIPTION:Jimmy Sturr and His Orchestra have over 117 recordings and 18 Grammy Awards which puts them in the Top Ten list for All-Time Grammy Awards. They have performed around the world. The Orchestra has recordings with some of the biggest names in the music industry including Willie Nelson\, Charlie Daniels\, Bobby Vinton\, Arlo Guthrie\, Bela Fleck\, Alison Krauss\, Mel Tillis\, Brenda Lee\, Duane Eddy and Delbert McClinton. Plus\, they are the only band to ever appear (4 times) with brass at “The Grand Ole Opry” in Nashville Tennessee.\n\nWe do not sell or resell tickets to this performance. You must purchase them here.\n\nThis project is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrants Program\, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature and administered by Arts Mid-Hudson.

SUMMARY:145th Music for Humanity Free Performance Night
DESCRIPTION:We begin our 13th year of offering free concerts (once a month) by some of the finest musicians from the Hudson Valley & beyond. Our 145th show features two of the best guitarists this side of the Mississippi: John Sheehan & Larry Amato. This is a free event. We ask for donations\, but if you are feeling financially stressed please join us for free and let the music work its magic… it will. “Sound Wizardry” by Jim Elwell. Noble Coffee Roasters will serve a light dinner menu and a great selection of coffees\, teas and desserts. We start promptly at 7:30 but suggest you arrive closer to 6:30.
