SUMMARY:4th Music For Humanity Benefit Acoustic Showcase
DESCRIPTION:This is our 4th MFH Benefit Acoustic Showcase at the Creative Compound in Honesdale PA. Each month\, on the first Friday\, we will invite 2-3 outstanding local/regional performers to share their music\, both originals & covers. Our performers for September 2nd are Janet Burgan – www.janetburgan.com\, Gorilla Bob\, and Dave Milner. \nIn her own words\, Janet says “singing and playing music are the most fun things I know how to do\, and I try to do that as much as I can.”  Her original folk-style songs are honest and tell slice-of-life stories. \nRobert Kearnes\, a.k.a. Gorilla Bob\, is a singer of what he terms “homespun” songs.  Interspersing his catchy original music with humorous stories and jokes\, his presentations are always entertaining. \nHailing from Canada\, singer/songwriter Dave Milner combines powerful vocals with unique folk-rocky guitar riffs to craft songs that will keep playing in your head well after the show is done. \nIt will be a great night of music. This is a free event. We ask for donations\, but if you are feeling financially stressed please join us for free & let the Music work its magic… it will. Special thanks to Louis West for hosting this concert series.

SUMMARY:135th Music for Humanity Free Performance Night
DESCRIPTION:On the 3rd Saturday of each month (for over 11 years) we’ve invited 2-3 outstanding local/regional performers to join us and share their music (both originals & covers). For this event our performers are The Steam Drill Meddlers and Chris Harrison & Friends. It’s guaranteed to be a great evening of music. “Sound Wizard” Jim Elwell will make everyone sound their best.\n\nIf you love to listen to live music in a small venue (50-75 people) please join us. This is a free event. We ask for donations\, but if you’re feeling financially stressed\, please join us for free and let the music work its magic… it will. All donations go to our scholarship fund. We’ve given $135\,000 in music scholarships. You can see most of the winners here. Thanks for your support!!
