Our featured performers this month are Lucas Maehara Rotman and Peter Sando. \nLUCAS MAEHARA ROTMAN is a Brooklyn based singer-songwriter. He is a storyteller of the human experience. His lyric-driven Mosaic Americana blends the whimsical and the profound creating a sound as diverse as the influences that have shaped his journey. Former winner of the Music for Humanity Songwriting Contest back in 2023\, Lucas is excited to return to the Noble Coffee Roasters stage supporting his newest album release\, Lost & Found\, out now on most streaming platforms! \nhttps://lucasmaehararotman.com/music \nPETER SANDO emerged in the late 60’s from the band Gandalf\, formerly the Rahgoos prior to the LP release\, appearing at various New York clubs such as “The Phone Booth”\, Scott Muni’s “Rolling Stone”\, “The Electric Circus”\, Murray the K’s “World”\, and the legendary “Night Owl Cafe” in Greenwich Village. It was there that he met songwriters Garry Bonner and Alan Gordon (“Happy Together”\, “She’d Rather Be With Me”) who brought the band to the attention of record producers Koppelman & Rubin. K&R signed the band and immediately started work on the GANDALF album which was released on the Capitol label in 1969. It has become a cult classic and highly sought after by collectors. \nThe concept of a “three-minute dream” (aka: a song that draws you in) is still something that attracts Peter to songwriting today. He records albums in his home studio.
