SUMMARY:191st Music for Humanity Free Performance Night
DESCRIPTION:On the 3rd Saturday of each month\, we invite 2-3 outstanding local/regional artists to share their music (both originals & covers)\, and sometimes classical\, jazz\, flamenco\, etc. We’re into our 16th year. Our featured performers this month are Bruce T. Carroll and Sarah D. \nBruce T Carroll is a master of intellectual lyrics\, songs from the heart\, political observation and wit. Utilising music not only to hold a harsh mirror up to society\, but also as a soothing salve that reminds us of all the beauty still to behold in the world. \nFind out more about Bruce: https://www.brucetcarroll.com \nSarah D is a Hudson Valley singer-songwriter known for her introspective\, contemplative\, and reflective musical style. Her sound blends elements of Existential Chamber Folk and\nPhilosophical Folk/Rock. Lyrically\, she draws from deep intellectual wells. Her songs weave together the philosophical themes of Viktor Frankl\, Carl Jung\, James Allen\, John Stuart Mill\,\nJohn Locke\, and Adam Smith. She accompanies her agile soprano voice with elegant\, fingerpicked guitar. \nFind out more about Sarah D: http://sarahd.com \nWe start promptly at 7:30\, but recommend you arrive closer to 6:30 for a seat with table. Noble Coffee will serve a light dinner menu plus a great selection of desserts\, coffees & teas. \nThis is a free event. We accept tax-deductible donations to “pay it forward” to the next generation of musicians. See them at https://musicforhumanity.org. If you are financially stressed please join us for free and let the music work its magic… it will. \nThis is a “listening room” series. If you enjoy listening to outstanding music in a small intimate room (40-60 people) you’ll love this event. \nIf you can’t make it please subscribe to our YouTube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/@musicforhumanity-1. We’ll post the videos the following week
