SUMMARY:187th Music for Humanity Free Performance Night
DESCRIPTION:On the 3rd Saturday of each month\, we invite 2-3 outstanding local/regional artists to share their music (both originals & covers). We’re into our 16th year. Our featured performers this month are Henry Ferland and Jerry Mitnick. \nHenry is the Winner of the 2025 International Home of the Legends Thumbpicking Championship. He plays melody\, rhythm\, bass\, and percussion simultaneously\, often while singing. A Berklee College of Music graduate\, he has performed with GRAMMY-winner Tommy Emmanuel.\nhttps://www.henryferland.com. \nJerry is a performing and recording musician\, singer/songwriter for over 50 years. He toured the world with various bands\, ….bass and vocals with Bev Grant & The Human Condition\, The Meteors\, Jo Marshal Band\, recorded and toured Norway for a year with The Rodney C. Riley Band (’79-80)\, theater and musicals\, The Natl Lampoon Show’s “That’s Not Funny\, That’s Sick” natl tour. \nFrom 1988-2001 he owned\, operated and performed at the Tinker Street Cafe in Woodstock NY. owning\, operating and performing at local music venues in Woodstock N.Y. from ’88-2001\, (Tinker St. Cafe\, and the Joyous Lake\, and has recently published a memoir of the years spent at Tinker St Cafe titled “The Music in the Walls\, stories and anecdotes from TSC ’88-’98 “\, His mission in music is to have it set a welcome mood and explain that we’re all in this together…\nhttps://www.youtube.com. \nWe start promptly at 7:30\, but recommend you arrive closer to 6:30 for a seat with table. Noble Coffee will serve a light dinner menu plus a great selection of desserts\, coffees & teas.\nThis is a free event.
