After the tragic death of dear friend and musician, Bill Perry, in 2007, Rachel Bertoni of Bertoni Gallery, teamed up with Barry Adelman of Music For Humanity to start the Bill Perry Memorial Scholarship Fund. The award is presented to a graduating senior from the Chester, NY high school (the same school Perry attended) who shows great promise in music and is aspiring to continue their passion for music. This wil be the third year Music For Humanity gives away a scholarship award in honor of Bill Perry. Bertoni Gallery has a free music festival every Sunday in July from 1-5pm. The last Sunday in July has become the annual Bill Perry Day. This is our third year honoring our friend on this day and presenting a scholarship to keep Bill Perry's musical legacy alive.
