Ellie O'Hare is currently a Junior Music Performance Major at West Chester University of Pennsylvania for French horn. She has been studying French horn since day one with Vic Izzo and now currently studies with Dr. Elizabeth Pfaffle of West Chester and TSgt Matthew Smith of West Point. Ellie has previously participated with the SUNY Ulster Community band and Wind Ensemble as well as the SUNY New Paltz Symphony Orchestra and Wind Ensemble. She is still an active member of 14 Valves & A Slide, a student brass quintet. As of today, Danielle is honored to stand as principle horn of the West Chester University Symphony Orchestra for the second year, as well as fourth horn of the West Chester University Wind Ensemble. She is also principal horn of the West Chester University Brass Ensemble, and plays in a woodwind quintet. She has been chosen to play French horn for numerous compositions and has been honored to be a part of the world premiere of West Chester's own young composers. Ellie has been an active sister of the professional fraternity Sigma Alpha Iota, and dedicates a lot of her time to service through music in the organization. In the future, Ellie hopes to continue her degree in Music Performance, and someday earn a spot in one of America's service bands, doing what she loves, playing the horn for her country.
