MFH Free Performance Night 6-15-13

Saturday night, June 15th was our 41st Music for Humanity Free Performance Night. You can see photos of the event here:

Here is how the night went: Peter Cotsis started us off with a set of originals including Didn't You, Epiphany, Songs that Make Us Cry, Renee's Song, I Hope, The Wonder. He closed with a cover: Teach Your Children Well. 



Barry Adelman followed with a mini-set of originals including Song for Kim, She is the Reason and We All Need



Steve Conahay followed. His set included Hard Times, Heading North Winter Bug, Satelite TV Repairman, The Great Mountain, Pickle



Jim Elwell did a mini set which included Eve of Destruction, The Last of the Family Reserve and Yellow is the Color


 


Helen Avakian closed out the show with a set of covers, originals and instrumentals that included These are the Things, I Love the Moon, Nineteen, Monagan's Jig, Drifting Days, Icarus, Rhapsody in Blue, I Want to be Your Blanket. She did two encores including In My Life and a flamenco piece.

Saturday night, March 16th was our 38th Music for Humanity Free Performance Night. You can see photos of the event here:

Here is how the night went: Tom Foley started us off with a set that included Pilgrim, The Blessing, County Down, This Love will Carry Me, Parting Glass and Time has Made a Change.



Barry Adelman followed with a mini-set including Don't Think Twice It's Alright, Listen and The Concert Rules.


Bill Buttner followed. His set included Where You Go, I Think I've Been Here Before, You Don't Know Nothing About Me, A Little Further Than My Yard, Hey Why You Crying, A Long Long Way from Home, Fiction, Talk About Last Night


Robert Wuagneux closed out the show with an incredible extended set including I Only Have Eyes for You, Moondance, Kiss, Love is Easy, Love Like Yours Will Surely Come My Way, Shady Lane, Eight Days a Week, Ain't No Sunshine, Peaceful Easy Feeling, Medley of 5-6 Elvis tunes, With a Little Help From My Friends.

Here is how the night went: Jim Elwell, our illustrious sound man started us off with a mini set which included Down in the Boondocks, Legalize Marijuana, Subterranean Homesick Blues and Whiter Shade of Pale. 


 


Marty Koppel, accompanied by Steve Vecchiotti and Mike T. Lewis, followed with a set of mostly originals including Vernon Town, New Years Eve Blues, Someone Get Us Out of Here, Do What You Want, Silver Eagle, John Law Burned Down the Liquor Store and That's Not for Me.

Barry Adelman followed with a mini-set of four originals: Song for Kim, Fireworks in July, Wounded Songbird and Woman from the North Country. 



Marji Zintz closed out the show with an extended set of covers that included You Don't Know Me, Big Sister, Corcovado, Wasn't Really Thinking, A Life on the Street, Gail, Crazy Love, Fire in Winter, Can't Get Started, Romeo & Juliet and Every Time We Say Goodbye
